FANARJYAN RUBEN VICTOR (born in 1960, in Yerevan), a neurosurgeon, doctor of medical sciences, professor, since 2010 he has been the head of the department of neurosurgery of YSMU, since 2013 he has been a chief neurosurgeon of the Ministry of Healthcare of RA. since 2014 he has been the head of the University clinic of neurosurgery and brain 's stroke.
From 1978 to 1984 he studied in the department of general medicine of YSMI, from 1984 to 1985 passed his clinical residency in the department of neurology and neurosurgery of YSMI. From 1985 to 1986 he passed his clinical residency in Moscow Institute of Neurosurgery named after N.N. Burdenko getting the qualification of a neurosurgeon, from 1986 to 1989 studied in the postgraduate studies of the same Institute. In 1989 she defended her dissertation on "The clinical and physiological examination of blood 's collateral circulation in the arterial circle of the big brain" and received a PhD.
From 1990 to 1991 he had trainings in neurosurgery in Columbia University (New York, the USA), In 1994 he cooperated with Albert Ludwig University (Freiburg, Germany).
In 1999 he was a lecturer in the department of professional skills development of the pedagogical staff of YSMU.
In 2005, 2007, 2009 had scientific cooperation with Georgian Institute of Neurosurgery (Maiko, Georgia, the USA).
In 2010 he defended his dissertation on "The quantitative characteristics of cerebral blood's circulation of the patients with neurosurgical pathology " and became a doctor of medical sciences and in 2011 became a professor of YSMU.
From 1986 to 1989 he was a neurosurgeon in the Institute of neurosurgery. named after N.N. Burdenko, from 1989 to 1994 he was an assistant in the department of neurology of YSMU, from 1994 to 2002 was an associate professor in the same department, the head of neurosurgical course, from 2002 to 2010 the head of the neurosurgical course of the same university.
