Harutyunyan Yuri Anushavan
Harutyunyan Yuri Anushavan (born in 1957 in Yerevan), Surgeon, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. He has been the head of the Department of Laparoscopic Surgery at Yerevan "Erebouni" Medical Center since 1993. Since 1997 he has also been working as Deputy Director of Surgery at the same MC. He has been a Professor at the Department of Surgery N3 at the Yerevan Medical University after M.Heratsi since 2011.
From 1975-1981 studied at Faculty of Medicine of Yerevan Medical Institute after M.Heratsi.
From 1981-1982 completed residencyship in surgery at Yerevan Hospital N8.
From 1982-1984 served in the Soviet Army.
From 1984-1987 worked as a surgeon at Charentsavan City Hospital.
From 1987-1993 he was the Surgery Department Head of Charentsavan City Hospital.
In 1992 he has performed laparoscopic surgery in Charentsavan City Hospital for the first time in Armenia.
In 1994 defended his dissertation and got his PhD in Medical Sciences.
In 2001 he defended his dissertation and got his doctoral degree in Medical Sciences.
From 2002-2011 he was a professor of Endocrine Surgery at NIH (National Institute of Health).
He participated in various professional trainings in Austria (Vienna, Feldkirch, 1990-1994), Switzerland (Davos, 1994), USA (1996-1999, UCLA), France (Paris, 1997).
He has been repeatedly awarded with diplomas and letters of gratitude by both the Erebuni Medical Center and the Minister of Health.
In 2012 he was awarded with "Mkhitar Heratsi" medal by the President of the Republic of Armenia.
In 2012 he was recognized the best surgeon of the year in Armenia and was awarded the "Doctor of the Year" prize.
He is the author of 68 scientific articles and publications, the textbook "Gallbladder Removal with Visual Observation".
