SARKAVAGYAN HOVHANNES KARPISI

SARKAVAGYAN HOVHANNES KARPISI (1955, Yerevan, Armenia) surgeon, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor. From 1992 to the present, he has been the Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at St. Gregory the Illuminator MK in Yerevan. Since 2007 - Associate Professor, Department of General and Thoracic Surgery, Faculty of Postgraduate Education, YSMU.

From 1962-1972 studied at Yerevan secondary school number 78.

From 1972-1978 studied at the medical faculty of YSMI, from 1978-1979 interned at the same university.

Studied postgraduate studies at Boston University and St. Petersburg Medical University, USA.

From 1978-1982 worked as a surgeon in the Aragats and Ararat regional hospitals. From 1999 -1994 was a resident of the Department of Thoracic Surgery of the Medical Center Gregory the Illuminator in Yerevan.

In 2006 he defended his thesis and received a doctorate in medical sciences.

From 1996-2007 He was an assistant at the Department of General and Thoracic Surgery at YSMU.

Since 2010, she has been a member of the European Association of Breast Surgeons.

He was awarded a letter of thanks by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (2005), the Second Medal of the President of the Republic of Armenia for Merit to the Fatherland (2006), the Marshal Baghramyan Medal (2007), and the Prize of the President of the Republic of Armenia (2014).

He is the author of about 56 prints.
