SHUKURYAN ARTUR KIMICH
SHUKURYAN ARTUR KIMICH (born in 1956, Yerevan, Armenia), ENT specialist, surgeon, doctor of medical sciences, professor, honored doctor of the Republic of Armenia. From 1992 to the present, he is the head of the auricle department of the Erebuni Medical Center. From 2008 to the present, he is the head of the ENT department of YSMU, and is a corresponding member of the NAS RA.
In 1973-1979 he studied at the medical faculty of YSMU.
From 1979 to 1981 passed residency at the First Moscow State Medical Institute.
In 1981-1984 he studied at graduate school at the aforementioned institute, specializing in ENT.
In 1984, he defended his dissertation and received a degree from the Medical Sciences Condate, and in 2000, a Doctor of medical sciences. He was a junior research fellow at the Department of Lung Cancer, YSMU in 1984 and in 1991 an assistant professor at the Department of Lung Cancer, YSMU.
In 1996-2002 He was Vice-Rector for international relations at YSMU.
He is the president of the Association of Ear Otologists of Armenia, a member of the editorial board of the journal «Westnik of Otorhinolaryngology» (Russian Federation), the editorial board of the International Journal of Otorhinolaryngology (Kazakhstan), the International Audiological Society, as well as an honorary member of the Italian audiologist.
Passed numerous trainings in the USA, France, Germany, Austria.
He has participated in many conferences and symposiasin Prague, Delhi, Dublin, Seoul, Nigga, Moscow, Amsterdam, Vienna, Pamplona, Athens, St. Petersburg, Paris, Rome, Dubai, Bonn, Cairo, Vienna, Los Angeles, Munich, Würzburg and also in the World Congress of Armenian Doctors.
Awarded by the Presidential Award in the field of medical sciences (2001), «Award for receiving an award in the field of medical sciences» (2003), Certificate of the UCLA Educational Institution for outstanding achievements in the field of clinical education, hearing research, head and neck surgery, spiral implantation (2003 ), Honored Doctor of the Republic of Armenia (2007), Certificate of Recognition of the California Legislative Assembly (2012).
He is the author of more than 214 prints and 1 monograph.
