SISAKYAN HMAYAK SOS Cardiologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, He has been the Head of the Department of General and Invasive Cardiology at YSMU University Hospital N 1 since 2010. He has been co-founder and co-chairman of Ultrasound University Study Center (Thomas Jefferson University Clinic Branch, Jefferson Ultrasound Research Study Center, Philadelphia) since 2000.
From 1986-1992 studied at the Faculty of General Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University.
From 1992-1994 he completed the clinical residency at the Department of Internal Diseases N1 of Erebuni Medical Center Cardiology Department.
From 1992-1994 he was a postgraduate student at the Chamber of Internal Diseases N1 of YSMU Research Center.
From 1994-1999 he was an assistant at the Chamber of Internal Diseases N1 of YSMU, in 2000-2003 - Associate Professor.
In 1994 defended his dissertation and received his Ph.D. in Medical Sciences.
In 1999-2004 headed the Department of Echocardiography of Erebuni Medical Center.
From 2004-2010 he was a Professor and Head of the Chamber of Internal Diseases N1 at the Department of Internal Diseases and Cardiology of YSMU University Hospital.
In 2001 he defended his dissertation at the Sechenov Medical Academy in Moscow and received his doctor of medical sciences degree.
He has cooperated with Thomas Jefferson University of Philadelphia, Jefferson Ultrasound Training and Research Institute since 1999 and with the Department of Cardiovascular Intensive Therapy at Basel University Hospital since 2003.
He participated in several trainings at the Russian Cardiology Center (Moscow, 1994), Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (Philadelphia, 1995), Ultrasound Diagnosis in the United States (1995), and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (1999).
He is a member of the American Heart Association (2013), Board of the Armenian Cardiology Association, European Cardiology Association, Association of Heart Failure, European Association of Cardiology, Echocardiography Association, Radiological Society of North America.
He has been the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the "New Armenian Medical Journal" since 2007, from 2007 - 2012 - Member of the Editorial Board of the "Russian Cardiology Journal".
He was awarded the Gold Medal of Yerevan State Medical University (2005, 2010).
He is the author of 81 scientific works.
